There are three bangers, four filler tracks, two guest features that feel like Snoop did them because the rapper owed him money, and one song about a dog that is genuinely moving if you do not think about it too hard. It is a Snoop album. You know what a Snoop album sounds like.
Track six, the collaboration with Anderson .Paak, is the best pure rap Snoop has delivered since Algorithm. His voice has not aged so much as mellowed into exactly the instrument this kind of record needs. And at 22 albums deep, the fact that there is still anything worth hearing at all is its own kind of miracle.
