The Roast
“The Devil Wears Prada 2 does not need a lead single from Lady Gaga and Doechii. The movie would have been fine with a Dua Lipa track and a trailer montage. Instead we got four minutes of the two most theatrically committed vocalists in modern pop acting out a fashion meltdown over production that sounds like a runway show having a nervous breakdown. It is incredible. The soundtrack industrial complex does not usually work this hard.”

The Bright Side
Doechii's bridge is the best thing either artist has released this year. Gaga is clearly having fun in a way she has not on a soundtrack since A Star Is Born. The production leans into the camp without apologising for it, which is the only way to do a Devil Wears Prada 2 song.
Hardest Sneer
“Four minutes is slightly too long for this song to sustain its own premise, and the final thirty seconds feel like they exist so the film's end credits have somewhere to land. You can hear the sync licensing in the song's DNA.”
