“Of All People is the first single from the upcoming Foo Fighters album Your Favorite Toy, and it is exactly the Foo Fighters song you knew it was going to be. Big chorus, big feelings, Dave Grohl screaming tastefully, a bridge that lands harder than it should. The band has been doing this for 30 years and at this point they are the post-grunge equivalent of a favourite hoodie. You know what you are getting, you know it fits, you do not need it to surprise you.”

The Bright Side
Post-Taylor Hawkins, every Foo Fighters release carries emotional weight the band cannot escape even if they wanted to. Of All People engages with that weight without being maudlin, which is harder than it sounds. The drumming is thoughtful in a way that feels like a tribute without being a eulogy.
