The fix Keep the haze, but anchor each track to one clear idea: a hook, a turn, a destination. Atmosphere should frame a song, not replace it.
Vocals drowned in production

The fix Pull the lead vocal forward in the mix on at least the emotional peaks. Let the fog support the voice instead of swallowing it.
Living in the predecessor's shadow
“As a direct sequel to the Grammy-nominated Eusexua, reception was mixed, with a recurring view that Afterglow simply is not as strong as its predecessor.”
The fix A sequel needs its own thesis. Define what Afterglow says that Eusexua could not, then cut anything that only exists to echo the original.
