Sonny Fodera、君の6枚目のアルバムは can we do it all again? という名前で、十八曲を通してこのレコードが自分自身に出し続けている答えは、はい、まったく同じ、十八回。これはビュッフェのようなハウスミュージックで、どの曲も別のゲストボーカルを次々と引っ張り出してくる。ここに CHRYSTAL、あそこに Jazzy、MK、Clementine Douglas、HAYLA、ついにはクレジットがフェスティバルのラインナップのように読め、曲同士がひとつのとても長くてとても心地よいセットへとぼやけていく。 そして心地よいのだ。それが罠だ。君は本当に信頼できるフィールグッド・ハウスのプロデューサーで、ドロップは決まり、ボーカルは明るく、全体がするりと流れていく。だが信頼できることは記憶に残ることと同じではなく、十二人目あたりのゲストシンガーのあたりで、もうどのフックがどの曲のものだったか思い出せないことに気づく。制作に五年かかったとされる十八曲のアルバムは、心地よい午後よりもう少し深い痕跡を残すべきだ。 技術が問題なのではない。選曲だ。このなかには引き締まった、致命的な十曲のレコードが埋もれていて、君はそれをそっくり同じような八曲の下に埋めてしまった。
まさにそれがそうであるもの、つまり日差しに満ちたフロア向けのハウスレコードとしては、文句なしに役目を果たしているし、いくつかのコラボは本当に輝いている。ベストな八曲を金曜の夜にかければ、会場の誰も文句は言わない。
